Python S60

Good news! I found out that you can install python on your Symbian S60 phone. My N95 + PythonS60 = Perfect Match! I’ve made a really small and in a VERY early alpha stage program for S60, written in python. And it is my guessing game which I have also made in flash and on my Texas Instruments calculator. I will release this early alpha stage game under the projects tab, so go have a look and try it out if you want. Remember that you need to install python on your phone first.

  1. Great first Symbian application. I see there are still some bugs, but where would the fun be if it worked correctly right away, don’t you think ;-) Continue working and improving your skills and who knows where you might end up. Also I would really like to see Symbian applications that incorporate the accelerometer more since that creates lots of fun. Have a look here for more information: http://crschmidt.net/symbian/

Good luck, I look forward to see more fun applications from you :-)

  2. Thanks, and yes… bugs are fun to fix, but still frustrating some times. I will try and develop more applications (may they be useful or not) and increase my skills. I will also try to update the projects page more frequently.

I am indeed a fan of the accelerometer and will in future take this also in my programming. Thanks and more applications coming soon! :)
