Nokia N95

n95I got my Nokia N95 a few weeks ago, and I love it! It’s wonderful, the freedom of installing programs and it has everything, except battery time. If there is one thing I need to point out its the awful battery time. I need to charge every or every other day. But besides that, it’s wonderful! I use it for everything. I can now check my email in bed, IM on the move (with murder with my phone bill, of course) and wonderful pictures. The pictures below of my computer upgrade is made with my N95, so you can check out the quality yourself. Not on max though.

I haven’t found a good guide for useful programs for Symbian S60 which the N95 is running, so I will try and make my own guide with my top favorite programs. Currently I love rotateMe and Nokomote from www.bysamir.fr. Great stuff Samir. I have donated and keep up the good stuff! As for now I feel I have installed too much crap on my phone I want to take a reset. Installing more crap before then couldn’t hurt, could it? So I will have to play some more with it.

The computer update

As I mentioned earlier, I bought a new CPU fan. Great stuff. It looks great! A surprise was though that the fan was HUGE! Apparently I forgot to check the fan size, and it was a 120 mm fan. Fortunately it fitted just fine, and I can even remove my RAM if I want, without needing the remove my new, cool CPU fan. I used the IC Diamond thermal grease which was a bit hard to work with, but I got it on eventually and my CPU temperature after a whole day of activeness is on around 55C! I don’t know how much my CPU temperature was before (because I was stupid enough to not check that before the upgrade), but I think that it sounds somewhat low. And the sound-level of my computer has dropped drastically. So I would recommend this fan to anybody, with IC Diamond thermal grease.

I also bought wheels for my computer case, which I found out had to be made holes for so that it could be mounted. So I tried this today, but without the right tools, the whole went a little bad, and my back wheels are a little to one side. The good news is that I did not need to make two holes as the “grill” already made in the case under fitted as a screw hole, but thus meaning that I missed when drilling the first hole. I decided to wait for the right equipment, so my case is currently tilting forwards. At east I have breaks. This time I even have pictures! That’s now something you see always (especially from me). Enjoy the photographs.
