I finally got around to put on the last two wheels on my computer, and the outcome is as you can see on the picture to the left. It can now roll back and forwards. What a handy feature, right? Especially in a tight place like the one I have. Anyway, I think my HDD is happier now as it doesn’t have to spin sideways anymore. And everything worked out in the end. Click the image for more pictures (total 2).
I need to put some goals and boundaries on myself. So therefor from now on I am going to:
- Do homework at least one hour a day
- Code/design at least once a week
- Update this blog at least two times a week
These should be enough goals for now. I will try my very best.
There was a young woman named Bright

She departed one day
in an Einsteinium way
and returned on the previous night
Okay. So I installed MythTV on my Ubuntu installation and found myself having a new splash screen when loading Ubuntu. After some search on the internet I found the trick to fix this, but seeing as I had trouble finding this code, I thought I should share it here so that more people can have use for it. Just run this in terminal:
sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so && sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-`uname -r`
And select the number for the splashscreen of your choise, and voilĂ !
now I can add those TG07 and TeX07 pictures that I have promised for oh so long.
I got my Nokia N95 a few weeks ago, and I love it! It’s wonderful, the freedom of installing programs and it has everything, except battery time. If there is one thing I need to point out its the awful battery time. I need to charge every or every other day. But besides that, it’s wonderful! I use it for everything. I can now check my email in bed, IM on the move (with murder with my phone bill, of course) and wonderful pictures. The pictures below of my computer upgrade is made with my N95, so you can check out the quality yourself. Not on max though.
I haven’t found a good guide for useful programs for Symbian S60 which the N95 is running, so I will try and make my own guide with my top favorite programs. Currently I love rotateMe and Nokomote from www.bysamir.fr. Great stuff Samir. I have donated and keep up the good stuff! As for now I feel I have installed too much crap on my phone I want to take a reset. Installing more crap before then couldn’t hurt, could it? So I will have to play some more with it.
As I mentioned earlier, I bought a new CPU fan. Great stuff. It looks great! A surprise was though that the fan was HUGE! Apparently I forgot to check the fan size, and it was a 120 mm fan. Fortunately it fitted just fine, and I can even remove my RAM if I want, without needing the remove my new, cool CPU fan. I used the IC Diamond thermal grease which was a bit hard to work with, but I got it on eventually and my CPU temperature after a whole day of activeness is on around 55C! I don’t know how much my CPU temperature was before (because I was stupid enough to not check that before the upgrade), but I think that it sounds somewhat low. And the sound-level of my computer has dropped drastically. So I would recommend this fan to anybody, with IC Diamond thermal grease.
I also bought wheels for my computer case, which I found out had to be made holes for so that it could be mounted. So I tried this today, but without the right tools, the whole went a little bad, and my back wheels are a little to one side. The good news is that I did not need to make two holes as the “grill” already made in the case under fitted as a screw hole, but thus meaning that I missed when drilling the first hole. I decided to wait for the right equipment, so my case is currently tilting forwards. At east I have breaks. This time I even have pictures! That’s now something you see always (especially from me). Enjoy the photographs.

My poll has been going on for quite some time now, and I thought I’d end it now. The question was simple; Wii, XBOX360 og PS3? Staring 5th November and ending today, the winner with 10 out of 16 total votes is Wii! Congratulations! On the second place XBOX360 with 5 votes. PS3 last with only one vote. What a bummer for Sony.
I’m glad Wii won. As you may or may not know, I am a Nintendo fan, and own a Wii together with a NES and N64 (I always seem to skip a generation). I’m gonna go play with the winner now…
As you might or might now know, I am attending to The Gathering this year, which will start from 19th march and end 23rd march.
What I found out today was that Shutdown Day is on 22nd March, which means that it will be on the second last day of TG. What shall I do? I want to participate in Shutdown Day, like last year, but a whole day without my computer at a computer party? Maybe I can use the time to sleep. But still…
I have been delayed on my installfest as I do now find my Artic Silver 5 tube anywhere and am forced to wait with my new CPU fan. (Which I apperantly forgot to see how big was, since when I opened my package today, it was HUGE! 120mm fan and huge. I did not know that and I seriously hope that it fits. Cool fan though.) I will anyway install my new network card today.
